Yampa Fire Protection District is seeking bids for the repair and upgrading of the Phippsburg station.  

 

OVERVIEW

The station that was built in the late 1980's has had some water damage and needs to be updated to a clean and reasonable working area. The plan is to make the needed repairs and bring some of the internal issues up to date.

Scope of work

1. Remove Damaged drywall and replace with new

2. Water seal/ barrier between drywall and floor 4’ up the wall

3. Paint the entire inside

4. Remodel the bathroom

5. New lighting and fans

6. Remove old lockers

7. Trim around doors

SPECIFICATIONS

The work will need to be done with trucks inside or by making arrangements to have a member move them out temporarily.  The trucks cannot remain outside overnight.

The Town of Yampa and Unincorporated Routt County are under STAGE 2 FIRE RESTRICTIONS

 

NO FIRES!!  NO FIREWORKS!!

*All open fires and campfires except petroleum-fueled stoves, lanterns, and heating devices that are underwriter approved. This includes the building, maintaining, attending or using any fire to burn trash, debris, fence rows, irrigation ditches or vegetation, and any campfire or warming fire.

*Smoking is restricted to enclosed vehicles and buildings.

*Operating a chainsaw without a USDA or SAE approved spark arresting device (muffler) properly installed and in effective working order, and a chemical pressurized fire extinguisher of not less than eight (8) ounce capacity by weight, and one (1) round pointed shovel with an overall length of at least 36 inches. The extinguisher will be with the chainsaw operator. The shovel may be kept with the fueling supplies but readily available for quick use.

*All internal combustion engines, including motorcycles and ATVs, must have spark-arresting devices that are properly installed and in working order.

*Outdoor use of welding and cutting torch devices.

*Using explosive materials: (i.e.: fireworks, blasting caps, exploding targets, tracer rounds, or any incendiary device, which may result in the ignition of flammable material.)

*Individual agencies (such as fire protection districts or State or Federal organizations) may further restrict commercial activities not included in this Declaration such as construction, logging, or oil and gas operations.**Any other restriction deemed necessary to preserve health, safety, and welfare during periods of high fire
